Seth L. Dobbs

Seth Dobbs has extensive experience in representing automobile, truck and motorcycle dealers in complex commercial transactions, business and franchise disputes, regulatory compliance, operational issues and litigation.
Seth provides counsel to dealers regarding their rights and obligations as related to franchisors and manufacturers. He has litigated disputes, across the country, relating to terminations, ownership transfers, add-points, warranty reimbursement, franchise modification, price discrimination, warranty and incentive audits and other manufacturer programs.
Seth regularly counsels new and used dealers on matters relating to dealership personnel, floorplan and retail credit relationships, finance and insurance, and other regularly recurring issues.
He defends dealers against class action and other consumer lawsuits. He also conducts finance, insurance and other compliance audits for dealers in order prevent adverse actions by plaintiffs’ attorneys and federal and state regulators.
In addition to automobile law, Seth’s practice includes representing clients in corporations, closely held businesses, policyholders, professionals, and individuals, as both plaintiffs and defendants in matters dealing with business, corporate, contractual and partnership disputes.
Seth believes in building relationships with his clients beyond the transaction or litigation, and offers individualized counsel and advice to help clients implement their objectives and achieve their long-term goals.
Seth is a member the New Jersey and New York State Bar Associations, and has been an active alumni member of Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity International, serving as Chapter Justice at Touro Law School and Chapter President at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
Seth was recognized as a “Top Attorney” in the area of Franchise and Dealership Law by New Jersey Monthly Magazine, and named a New Jersey “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers.
While in law school, Seth received CALI Awards for the highest academic achievement in legal writing, oral advocacy and trial practice.
